What is Battle of the Beadsmith Tournament?




Have you seen all the buzz on Facebook about the "Battle of the Beadsmith" Tournament yet?

Well, if not, get ready for some fun and exciting talented bead weaving Artist to show off their best during the few months.  

There are 64 bead weaving artists were invited to this single elimination tournament, put together by Beadsmith to celebrate bead weaving talents worldwide.  
Starting on May 14th, random artists will be paired establishing the first round of the competition.  This means 32 groups of artist vs. artist.  Each artist will have seven weeks from the announcement of the first pairings to create one single piece of original Beadwork and submit four photographs best highlighting its most important elements. 

Their will be 62 competitors not involved in a particular round one, plus 39 invited judges, will vote for the design that best captures their imagination.  This means that a majority of at least 85 of the possible 101 total voters will be enough to determine a winner in that round. 

Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, headpieces, belts, handbags, or any other wearable adornments are acceptable for submission.  The deadline for the submissions of the first round will July 10th.
